2017 Plainsboro Library Festival of the Arts!
Saturday, September 16, 12 – 4 pm
Rain or shine! Festival will be held on the square in front of the library, with a few activities inside on the first floor. In the event of rain, most activities will move inside the library.
Bring your family to this wonderful celebration of the arts, and enjoy hands-on arts and crafts. Fun for all ages!
- Participate in crafts such as diya (clay pot) painting, felt making, Chinese painting and calligraphy, art journaling, collaborative recycled sculpture, mandala drawing, sidewalk chalk, Legos, Chinese knot tying, weaving, embroidery, pen calligraphy, marble paper, acrylic painting, henna, face painting and more. Try something new, or watch as artists create.
- Listen to music from around the world by DJ Sully, and enjoy the High School North a capella group, “Out of the Blue”, and string quartet, “Nonet”.
- The festival starts off at 12 pm with a special Moving Stories by the library’s Miss Debra! All of you Monday morning regulars, come and enjoy this out on the square, with some of the music provided by the DJ. Stay afterwards and enjoy the crafts.
- Free personalized bookmarks and brush paintings by our generous artists!
